What book are you currently reading?
I am reading Black & British: A Forgotten History by David Olusogo. In an attempt to better educate myself about why the Black Lives Matter movement is so significant for the UK and our relationship with Africa and the USA. The book makes it clear why this is such a difficult topic to teach in school and why it should be a key part of the curriculum for my sons.
The book I have just finished is The Mushroom at the End of the World: On the Possibility of Life in Capitalist Ruins by Anna Lowenhaupt Tsing. This was a fascinating and unexpected academic book, which challenges how I thought about our economy, the purpose of work and gourmet food. Food is my other passion and cooking is one of my favourite ways to relax.
