Junior Sustainability Consultant
Tom joined EVORA in January 2021, having completed an internship with EVORA as part of his MSc Global Sustainability Solutions course at the University of Exeter. In this, he researched and produced a report for EVORA titled ‘A forward-looking assessment of EU city/regional preparedness for the transition to electric vehicles and e-mobility’. Prior to this Tom undertook a BSc Physical Geography with Applied GIS course, also at Exeter.
What are your main responsibilities?
Among my main responsibilities are the management, collation and analysis of client data relating to energy consumption, water consumption and waste management. Additionally, I will be liaising with client property management teams to identify patterns and trends in the data we collect, as well as providing training and guidance to new property management teams.
What’s the best part of your job?
The best part of my job is being able to work everyday toward finding solutions to the growing climate crisis. In my position, I am able to have an expanded influence in attempting to solve this global issue.
What book are you currently reading?
I enjoy learning as much as I can about history, so I am currently reading ‘The Shortest History of Germany’ by James Hawes
