The successful candidate will join at a pivotal time: we are maturing our Agile approach, incorporating modern techniques and developing lots of new features in our SIERA platform. We have recently identified a need to enhance our testing capability, with a strong focus on automated testing. We are seeking someone who wants to develop their career, contributing their experience, ideas and solutions to the team.

Core Responsibilities and Skills Required
Core Responsibilities
The core responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Help shape, support and implement a test strategy for the SIERA platform
- Design, build, implement and execute automated tests for the SIERA platform
- Quality assure the SIERA platform, ensuring products are ready for release
- Work within the testing strategy to report, track and test bugs reported within JIRA
- Perform functionality testing for surface tests, testing of new features and fixes to existing bugs
- Support the team in data testing to ensure accuracy, occasionally accessing the database directly (SQL) and through business intelligence tools (Power BI)
- Work closely with developers, business analyst and product owner to execute test plans and test cases
Essential Skills
The right candidate must have the following essential skills:
- Excellent attention to detail and methodical approach
- Good communication and reporting skills
- Strong knowledge of modern testing techniques, including either:
Practical experience of introducing automated testing into software products using an automated test framework, such as Selenium
Or:
A background in software development, with a demonstrable eagerness to develop automated testing - Knowledge of the software development lifecycle, especially in an agile context.
- Practical experience of Katalon Studio would be beneficial
- Knowledge of SQL Server (TSQL) would be highly beneficial
