We are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to fill the role of Senior Sustainability Consultant to support our Building Optimisation and new dedicated Green Building Certification delivery teams. This position offers a very exciting opportunity to help high profile blue chip companies meet their decarbonisation targets and deliver technical reviews and certifications including BREEAM-in-Use across European property portfolios. EVORA is an independent, pan-European sustainability consultancy specialising in the commercial real estate & infrastructure sectors. We also have proprietary sustainability management software, SIERA, as well as a technical engineering division, EVORA EDGE. Our clients include real estate investment organisations, such as Schroder Real Estate, Aberdeen Standard and Deutsche Bank and UBS and USS within the infrastructure sector.

Core Responsibilities and Skills Required
Core Responsibilities
The core responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Building Optimisation
- Planning, completion and write-up of technical building level energy audits
- Provision of monitoring and tracking of energy usage to assist EVORA clients in the management of post-audit improvement management programmes
- Provide project management of energy improvement programmes, serving as point of contact for clients, tracking deliverables, and producing or delegating work to meet deadlines
- Collaborate with team members and provide technical expertise on energy management
- Environmental and energy management system development (ISO 14001 & 50001)
- Using building energy simulation software, such as IES-VE, EnergyPlus
Green Building Certification
- Full certification process from initial site visit, identification and collation of evidence and submission to the appropriate bodies
- Interpret information requirements and communicate these to the client, including the provision of technical advice
- Undertaking gap analysis exercises and implementation of programmes to improve future scoring
- Hosting client workshops/ meetings
- Working in conjunction with other delivery teams where relevant and under the direction of the BIU Lead
Leadership
- Establish thought leadership by authoring blog posts, delivering presentations, and being active in industry organisations
- Ability to work in a team under supervision and to lead on individual tasks when required.
- Initiative to work independently, with the self-motivation and enthusiasm to learn and develop new skills and expertise
Essential Skills
The right candidate must have the following essential skills:
- BREEAM In-Use Licenced Assessor (BREEAM NSO desirable)
- Detailed understanding of building certification requirements
- Depth of technical knowledge of sustainability issues and application to real estate
- Energy Audit experience with understanding of HVAC systems for commercial buildings
- Detailed understanding of current and forthcoming energy legislation within UK and Europe
- Detailed understanding of energy market and drivers within UK and Europe
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and technical aptitude
- Degree or Masters in Engineering, Architecture, Geography, or similar technical education or experience
- Commitment to professional excellence through active involvement and membership in an appropriate and recognised professional body
- Self-starter with proven ability to manage own time to deliver best in class service to clients
Desirable Skills & Requirements
The right candidate may have the following desired skills:
- BREEAM NSO Assessor
- Net-Zero Auditing experience
- Pan-European delivery experience
- ESOS Lead Assessor
- BREEAM in Use assessor
- Experience with energy simulation and modelling software such as IES-VE, EnergyPlus
- Fluency in European languages including French, Italian, German
- Membership of an appropriate and recognised professional body (e.g. IEMA practitioner/full member)
