The proposed Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES) legislation, which will make it unlawful to let a building with the two lowest EPC ratings of F or G from April 2018, has been put to parliament today and as such is looking extremely likely to go ahead.

John Alker, Acting CEO of the UK Green Building Council said:

“This is the single most important piece of green legislation to affect our homes and buildings that has been introduced in the whole of this Parliament.”
