Before joining EVORA in May 2018, James spent several years working for Salix Finance, a not for profit organisation that is funded by central government with the aim of reducing public sector carbon emissions. James was focused on assisting public bodies with energy efficiency projects across a wide range of technologies. In this role, he also gained experience of validating projects estimated financial and carbon savings.
What are your main responsibilities?
I provide consultancy support across a range of different topics, such as energy audits, monitoring and targeting, utility data management and EMS systems.
What’s the best part of your job?
I have a diverse workload which makes it enjoyable. I have found that there is a high amount of problem solving in the role, which provides a challenge but also makes it very rewarding.
What book are you currently reading?
I am currently reading Prisoners of Geography, which is an interesting book about geopolitical events.
