Platform Engineering Manager

Alex joined EVORA in Sep 2016. He has over 15 years’ experience in Software Development and IT infrastructure, working with large corporations as well as SMEs.

What are your main responsibilities?

I am responsible for the systems, operations and coordination of development for SIERA, our sustainability software. I am also supporting the transformation of our technical capability as EVORA and SIERA grow.

What’s the best part of your job?

The ability to take ownership of projects and see them through to completion is the most rewarding aspect of my job.  Since joining EVORA, I’ve been involved in many diverse and exciting projects. The continuing enhancement of SIERA is our main focus, but I have also managed our move to using Amazon Web Services for example.

What did you want to be when you grew up?

Policeman, Doctor were a few of my childhood play roles I think. In my teens I wanted to be a Pilot. A passion for films then took over and I settled on a modest ambition… Film Director.
